The Social Media Dilemma: Finding Meaningful Spaces to Share. Where Do We Connect Next? A Maker’s Social Media Shift

Times they are a changin' - That's what Bob Dylan says, right?

SUBSTACK: WHY AM I HERE?

Questions I’m asking myself, out loud.

Being inundated by things that feel out of control, I’m searching the next thing we all flock to, while constantly thinking, what if it’s flocking to our own private spaces, connecting more face-to-face, and less on our screens? I kind of love that!

As much as I love the idea of using social media less, it leaves me with so many questions, mostly: where + how will we connect beyond social media?

Personally, I’ve used social media less and less over the last few years. First it was Facebook and then it was my private Instagram account. Facebook was too much pushed shit I didn’t care about, and I found it hard to see the friends and families I came there to follow. Then it was my personal Instagram. Honestly, I spend a TON of time using Instagram for my business and over the last few years I didn’t have the energy to post on my personal accounts.
