We hope you enjoy your new Rebekah J. Designs jewelry! It is in the nature of silver and raw brass to tarnish over time. Although it can be polished back to it’s original state, we encourage you to embrace the evolving finish of the metal. A jewelry polishing cloth works wonders but if you prefer, you can gently wash the jewelry with Bar Keepers cleaning powder (found at your local grocer!) to restore it’s original finish. Jewelry is best stored in a dry environment. In the event that you are unsatisfied with your order please reach out via email. All returns must be pre-approved.
We carry stock on most items. When an item is listed as "pre-order" it means it's most likely OUT OF stock and we will place a special order for you. This is especially true with our gold plated items. We carry a very limited stock of these items and order them 2 times a year to keep costs down. If you place an order for an item that's listed as PRE-ORDER I will reach out to you to clarify the timing. Please note that it can take some time for these items.
We have that are both gold plated and gold fill. Gold plated is an electroplating process to add metal to the outside of a piece after it's been made. Gold fill is a process of adding gold to a piece via pressure. Our cast pieces are plated where as our wire and chain are made with gold fill elements. We wrote an in-depth blog all about this! Head over here to learn more!
We love the look of our cast brass pieces, which are a high quality jewelers brass that is slow to tarnish, but due to the natural nature of this natural element tarnish does happen.
