About the Signet Collection: A Journey Through Time and Craft

The Signet Collection: Timeless Craft and Personal Stories in Fine Jewelry

Signet rings have a rich history, tracing back to ancient civilizations where they served as functional tools for sealing documents and letters.

My First Signet

When I graduated from high school, my parents gifted me a gold signet ring. It was a thoughtful gesture, purchased from a local small jeweler who also dealt in estate jewelry. Whether the ring was engraved with something meaningful or left blank for me to add my own touch, I can't quite remember.

What I do remember is that I asked to exchange it for something else.

I think about that ring often. I reflect on the significance of the occasion, the financial sacrifices my parents made, and the thoughtfulness behind their choice. A signet ring carries a rich history and symbolism—it's a piece meant to hold stories, to signify heritage, and to mark important moments. Looking back, I realize the depth of what my parents were trying to convey when they gave it to me.

I can't believe I returned it.

It feels like the one that got away. To be fair, I really love the estate ring I replaced it with but I still think about that signet ring often.

I create collections imbued with sentiment—- sparks that are meant to ignite your own stories.

My Creative Process: Personal and Emotional

As a jewelry designer, I create collections imbued with stories—- sparks that are meant to ignite your own stories. If you've followed my journey, you know how much intention goes into every piece. They are vessels, holding space for your personal narratives. But every story begins with me. My creative process is deeply personal; it's how I navigate my emotions and experiences, translating them into wearable art. My greatest joy comes from the connections we make through these pieces—the shared understanding that we all feel deeply, when our stories intertwine.

But this collection is different.

This year, I celebrated my fourth anniversary of working full-time in this business, and having that time to fully dedicate myself has allowed me to listen more closely—to the heartbeat of my business and to your voices as my customers. I leaned into what resonates most with you, and time and again, it's clear: you love rings. Rings sell the best, garner the most attention, and are the pieces you wear every day, becoming part of your story.

A beloved ring almost never leaves your finger.

My greatest desire is to create jewelry that you never want to take off.

Pushing Past Fear and Imposter Syndrome

I aspire to create heirloom pieces filled with deep, meaningful sentiment, and eventually, I want to craft pieces that are uniquely yours. I want you to bring your stories, your family’s legacy, and let me transform them into something personal and timeless. Creating a collection of signet rings perfectly aligns with both the historical significance of a signet but with what you all love.

The Signet Collection is also a stepping stone for me, a space for professional growth. It’s an opportunity to push past my fears and insecurities, to challenge myself, and to try new things. PSSSST, hi imposter syndrome. I see you.

Transforming Diamonds, Metals, and Memories

In the future, I hope to take your family jewelry and give it new life—repurposing the metal that has absorbed the history of those who came before you, reimagining the diamonds and gemstones that sparkle with the stories of the past. I want to create pieces that will be cherished for generations, pieces that will become part of your family’s narrative. Jewelry your granddaughter will think of when she remembers your hands. Together we can celebrate your milestones, create vessels to hold your deepest loves or greatest triumph, so you can carry it with you, learn from it, and embrace it.

The History of Signet Rings

Signet rings have a rich history, tracing back to ancient civilizations where they served as functional tools for sealing documents and letters. The designs, often engraved with family crests or emblems, were pressed into hot wax, leaving a signature of authenticity—almost like fingerprints, unique to each person.

This collection honors the familiarity of this traditional art form while also providing holding space for growth. It’s my way of connecting with the past, while looking forward to the future, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.

September 15th the Signet Collection will be available! Sign up for my mailing list to get first access to this incredible collection.
