Heirloom jewelry that holds space for all that you are
In my last email I touched on the heirloom quality of my brass and silver pieces but there's also another, very important, heirloom portion of my work…
Do you have any pieces of heirloom jewelry? What defines "heirloom" to you?
Let's dive in to what an heirloom is:
the SHARED EXPERIENCE: a theory of connection
Central to my work is the concept of the ‘Shared Experience’ which creates space for individuals to connect deeply and empathetically with each other. Doing so acknowledges and amplifies each of our own experience. I hope that by sharing my own personal self-work into words and translating them into beautiful pieces of jewelry that can be worn I can hold a space for what you need.
Attaching the profound significance of a person, place or even a thought to your Rebekah J. jewelry pieces automatically makes it a piece to treasure, but also one you might one day want to share with a future wearer... behold, an heirloom.
If it's important to you, it's going to be important to those that love you too.

USING JEWELRY TO PROCESS AND HOLD SPACE FOR...
With each collection I make I dig deep within and tell the story of where I am and what I am working through and hope to translate it through my pieces. I attach significance to each item of jewelry based on its shape, or inspiration.
As a Mother and wife there are definitely themes that arise in my work central to these details. But there's much around being steadfast, or having gumption, and inevitably, as a human, pain.
This is where the concept of the SHARED EXPERIENCE comes into play. It is my hope that I am able to create a message that helps you hold on to something dear and important to you.
It's like a Hallmark card... they sometimes just find the words that you are unable to articulate and you end up crying in Target.
